183 miles and now at Seville which is at sea level so temperature was 26 degrees when we arrived.  This is a beautiful city with many things to see and do.  All over the city are pony and trap passenger rides, bendy buses, trams and good cycle ways.  Elaine and I have used shank’s pony and we have walked many miles over the last couple of days. There is an enormous park full of fountains, beautifully tiled buildings and other things to see. Over your head, flying around are many birds including parakeets. Every street seems lined with trees laden with limes. We have seen vast bushes with pomegranates on them and palm trees by the score with dates.
Whilst talking about the trees I must here talk about the beautiful flowering bushes that we have seen all through Spain but especially here, I suppose, because the weather is so good. It is October and you can see the trees are yellowing a bit but the beautiful flower displays on the bushes is spectacular and everywhere we walk about just enjoying the colour.
We did go to a bullfight and will say that the pageantry is spectacular and fascinating the way the Spaniards react to it all.  They wave their white hankies to show their approval when a bull is killed cleanly at the appropriate time but jeer when it is not done right. We watched a bit then left. Great experience but the cruelty did nothing for us. Neither did we partake of any of the food available there.  Probably beef burgers and steaks.
We will move on tomorrow and head further south although we are a long way down already. So today has been a bit of a rest day. We have been shopping so our cupboards are stocked again and we both feel it is time to move again.

This is all about our year long meander around Europe in our motor home. It is a way of passing on what is happening, where we are and thoughts on what we have seen or done. Please comment as it is, firstly, nice to know this stuff is being read, and also tell me if there are other things you would like to hear about.

    1. Hi you two. Cambridge is a lovely place so we hope you are enjoying your stay there. It seems an age since we were all together and we’ll have to arrange an outing so we can have a proper quorum of the “B” club. I know it appears that we have rushedvthrough Spain but we rushed South to get the weather as many we meet tell us that Portugal and other parts of Spain are getting cold and wet weather. In fact the couple we became friends with who went off to go along the north coast to go into Portugal, drove the length of Spain in a couple of days so they could join us here because they couldn’t stand the wet and the cold nights where they were.

Anyway, enjoy yourselves annd keep well

      Best regards

      Jack
